Piaget G0A36125 wrist watches news:
Hello EveryoneJust bought my first omega, itĄŻs a seamaster 600. (in fact its my first ever watch) It was a spear of the moment eBay purchase. I know some of you say itĄŻs best not to buy from eBay, but hear in the uk nice omegas come in way over my budget. I havenĄŻt received the watch yet itĄŻs on its way, the first thing IĄŻll doing is taking it for a service, we have a brilliant watchmaker who will service it a great price. I wondered if you guys for the dial is original? And what you think about the condition of the dial. I asked the seller about the dot at the ten past mark, he assured me the dot was fine and the mark was just a reflection. It wont let me upload the pictures, think its because im at work iv included the ebay link instead. Stunning Omega 1966 Seamaster 600 Manual Steel Men's WristwatchIĄŻm a little nervous! I hope it turns out to be a great watch, because I love the Look of it.Thank you Giles
Here is a Very Special Treat for the New Year...An Odd watch, that is SO Stunning in Real life,it is hard to describe. This is The Illinois "Chevalier"With Black Enamel and PORCELAIN Dial.(1928)(FF) The Chevalier-type watch was made by many manufacturers...Waltham and Elgin issued watches in similar cases as did several Swiss companies. Here is an old "Waltham" ad from Nov. 1928The Watch came in Blue and Black Bezels. The rarity of this particular watch is it's DIAL.There are only 4 known Porcelain Illinois dials. (FF)(This may be the 5th)Dimentions:37X31mmThe slight hairline crack is a welcomed sight (believe it or not) showing that it is in fact, porcelain. When I asked my good buddy about this watch, the first thing he said was"I hope the dial has some hairlines on it!"It Does! This watch case was very susceptible to "Pitting"this one is very clean.FF Notes:Price when new: $25Price today: $350 to $750 (fair to excellent condition)Add $500 for Porcelain DialBlue rarer than Black2/6 Black6
Ok Gang...Below are 2 watches called a "Medalist" Can anyone tell me which one is fairlycommon and which one is an uber rare "One of a Kind?"Any WHY?(Fred and Rick are exempt!)
Okay, what's up? I've seen some member sneaking their new arrivals into the Daily Wrist Check threads with no other mention. You know who you are - and so do I - so how about posting them here since you don't want to do your own Incoming! threads? I'll start if off with a vintage Longines 22AS from the 50's.Alright, let's see'em! What did you get?...
I heard it last Friday from another Omega AD and it was confirmed by a friend who works at a local Ben Bridge store today. He is a Sales Associate and did not know the reason, but they got the memo this morning. He mentioned that they are going to offer all their Omega stock at 20% off. I was not impressed because I get 30% off from an out-of-state AD.
