The tortoise is back¡­..One of the stars of this year¡¯s edition of Baselworld is the watch of the US-based fashion watch brand Nixon.They have created a watch with inlays of tortoise.But don¡¯t worry not the genuine stuff. Poor animals. Nixon¡¯s and their suppliers have developed a process using chips made of polycarbonate. These chips can be milled or stamped like metal and afford a unique look to the watch¡¯s bezel and the links of the bracelet.According to Nixon¡¯s the material resists wear and tear better than steel and is light-weight.It better had be as the watches sporting this new material are rather large. SD43 bracelet sizing.
Hi all,I recently replaced my Deepsea with a SD43, I loved the Deepsea but it was just a little too thick for my wrist.My SD43 was sized in the AD with 4 1/2 links on the 6 o clock side and 3 1/2 links with the divers extension on the 12 o clock side. Glide lock is one click from fully in and the bracelet fits great for size. This leaves me with 3 spare links.I¡¯m thinking of removing the divers extension to get a little more curvature, have many of you done this or left it as standard with divers extension installed? I know a lot did it with DS. My wrist size is 6.75¡± but pretty flat. For anyone with a similar wrist size, how many links have you got at each side to balance the bracelet?Also I never really took notice at the AD before it was sized but does anyone know how the bracelets come from the factory, is it 5 1/2 links at 6 o clock and the rest at 12?Many thanks. :)

Demand for the BLNR is crazy hot, is something coming?
Posted my BLNR for sale and received 14 inquiries in a day, sold now, along with every other BLNR listing in the past 48 hours (4 by my count). Even with my ceramic Daytona it was nowhere near as hot. Any idea why the sudden surge in demand? Could it be we will finally see it discontinued..?
