Piaget G0A32148 wrist watches news:
In addition to the Seiko I asked about earlier, and purchased, I just bought this one. I think it's ok to post the ebay link in this context - if not, sorry about that and please let me know!So my questions is, does anybody know what they do to blacken the stainless steel, and how well does the "black" hold up? Oh, also, I wonder if this one can be hand wound, or if it is like the OM?Seiko SRP007P
This belongs to my wife's co-worker. It was her fathers, who passed 25 years ago. She thinks it's about 45 years old and was wondering about any info/value just from the photo.

For quite some time I wanted to see how the FFF dial (modern?) would look with some Mercedes hands. I have always been attracted by the Explorer look and I thought that this would be a nice combination, different and unique. I also wanted to do something different from the usual FFF projects and make something without a numbered or spinning bezel, here is what this looks like: I had some Mercedes hands from Yobokies from an earlier project. I then found one of the grey (almost black really) FFF dials from Jake. Then I bought a brand new affordable Seiko automatic. I got this one because it has a nice big crown rather then one with the puny tiny crown that is hard to grasp and turn. This is my first one and I have to say that it is really nice and the crown looks really good with the case. It is too small for my over 8" wrist unfortunately, at 38mm without crown and without crown guard. The watch comes with a folded bracelet but I did not like it, I was planning anyway to get
A very close-friend of mine is interested in a white gold Rolex Day-Date but he discovered, the price is beyond his means. Alternatively, he is thinking about getting an Omega Constellation White Gold (with a date, at least), since more than likely, it is going to be very much cheaper and well within his budget.I have advertised in the TRF WTB section but there is no response. Is there any chance, anyone knows where I can get one, for my friend. It could be from an individual or a dealer. Please PM me, if you so wish. Thanks.
