Tourbillon Boutique Opens on Wall Street
The Swatch Group’s multi-brand Tourbillon boutique is now open for business on Wall Street. Along with the Omega boutique on Fifth Avenue, this is the second upscale Swatch Group-owned retail location to open in New York City in April. The Wall Street location is the second U.S.A. The Speedmaster Professional has since its introduction in 1957 come in a truly bewildering variety of shapes, sizes, designations and limited editions, but one of the most polarizing models, when it appeared, was the X-33. The X-33 was introduced, in the first version, in 1998; it was the result of an Omega development program designed to (finally) produce a multifunction quartz watch that would be a completely modern successor to the mechanical Speedmaster Professional, and that would meet up to date NASA and ESA requirements for a flight-qualified timepiece. It was an ambitious project, which took place over the course of five years, and prototypes were flight-tested by both American and European astronauts; the first version of the X-33 would go on to be used by U.S., European, and Soviet astronauts on the Space Shuttle, the Mir Space Station, and other missions and it was used by military flight crews as well. Complications...which ones do you want in your watch?
I have 2 chronographs. One of them has the tachymeter and telemeter scales on the bezel. I've no idea what to do with these features. I don't time boiled eggs in the kitchen with my telemeter scale. These are just a couple interesting extra buttons that look cool. One of my watches has a GMT/24hour hand. Got me on that one too. Wazzit for? I bought these watches because I liked the way they looked. Not very clever, but still a valid method of picking. I like complications, but I want some that I can find a use for so here's my list.1. three center hands, hour minute & second.2. Day month and date large enough to see like on the Khaki or Chronoswiss3. power reserve. I forget to wind or don't wear often so this I find helpful on every watch that has one.4. exhibition back. I like to watch da watch.5. I like numbers on the dial, indicators are okay, but I like numbers.6. I like contrast between the back and the hands so it's easy to read. Ghost bezel black bay?
Anyone seen online? obviously the watch is too new for this to happen naturally, but I do wonder as they are aluminum inserts. If anyone has done it with chemicals to get the look, and has a picture that would be cool to see. Anyone know how long it takes naturally and the conditions. Black bay black with a ghost bezel would be pretty amazing. I think this watch will look better with age even tho I baby the hell out mine lol

Travelling back to the UK via Doha in the next 2-3 months.What are my chances of getting one of these models in the UK when I'm there? Tax free makes it very attractive.I frequently read about SS supply issues but does this apply to the 116713LN / 116613LB as well? Heathrow on way out would be perfect for me but I'm not sure you can simply ring them and reserve one??Merry Christmas to all.
