Rado R30935162 wrist watches news:
I saw this one this evening and have a couple of questions. I had no interest in buying it the questions are just for my own learning experience. Is this a bad attempt at cleaning a dial ?Is it even the original dial ?It never reached it reserve price and bids ended at $92.00, advertised as authentic and original dial cleaned and maintaining the original Longines and Turler names, and will be shipped from the sellers master jeweller in Peru. The seller was based in the US.
This may sound crazy but I'm really apprehensive about purchasing a watch, not so much the cost but actually having to speak to a sales person face to face. What's the process? I've chosen the Omega Broad Arrow which come's just under ?4500. Its the most money I've ever paid anything upfront for. These sale people deal with high end customers everyday andfeel like they would see right through me. Any advice?
I have heard of but not seen a Diver on a Bracelet.. Anyone have pics?
Hi guys, I just wanted to get a feel from the Patek community. I am considering either Patek 5396 vs BLRO. I know they are very different watches and serve different purposes. I already have a GMTII TT and SubC, so want to venture out to Patek. I spoke with someone at an AD (mistake? haha) and they did say that the Pateks in general are delicate than rolexes. How true is this? I know rolexes are tool watches and durable. I simply don't want to wait months for watch to be in service. In addition, I'm looking for a nice clean dress watch. The BLRO is very nice in person, and I don't want to spend money on both. Thoughts? As a background, I have to take my watch off all the time for work. I also don't want a watch to sit in a safe all the time. Thanks in advance.Other Pateks I am considering are 5205, 5146.
I was just wondering why the original steel Yachtmaster was not very popular nor does it seem popular on the forum. I used to own one and traded it a while ago when I got a Platinum Day Date...also long gone. I actually thought it was a great watch with great lines and was supremely comfortable. I know other watches are not deemed popular like the 42mm Exp II (I have 2 of those...the controversial SAS models) but looking at some for sale sites show fairly low prices for the YM and it seems like a good buy at current levels.
