Rado R30927715 wrist watches news:
My search for Hamilton's has made me decide to visit a watch fair here in The Netherlands. There were a lot of (especially!) French and German dealers. (As a big Elvisfan I saw the same watch that Elvis wore in 1956. I knew it was a Lord Elgin but I could never figure out what model. Today I learned it was a "Direct Read" and known as The Tank. "Our German Friend" had an asking price of a whopping 850 euro's.Much to my surprise I could hardly find any Hamiltons. Only a handfull and none of them Electric. Dealers told me that they are hard to find! I guess this is because it is of American origin, and not many made it to Europe. However I did find a Pacer. The guy who is selling it says that the movement was damaged beyond repair. This is the reason why he has replaced it with a quartz movement. (It is his own watch, which he has worn for about two years).Personally speaking the reason why I like Hamilton so much is because of the beautiful designs of Richard Arbib. So it does not matter
It's 3:15am here in Calgary, and I'm getting ready to head out to Lake Louise, up in Banff National Park, to satisfy my "photo jones".I'll be wearing the Oris:
Hello everyone, my name is Roberto and I'm writing from Rome (Italy). I want to show my Hamilton gave me my wife at home who has a defect on the dial. Do you have to keep it as it may be a rare watch or make do with a new one? Thanks to all who answer meIMG_1646.jpgIMG_1646.jpg
Guys, when you wear a chrono watch like my Speedy, do you normally run your chrono in full circle (24 hours) to make sure that everything works fine?I wear it occasionally but when I put it on I run it to make sure everything is fine.
I will be attending SIHH again this year and will be reporting on the Panerai releases so I thought it would be nice to have a place where I can place all the links to information, pictures etc that I will be posting. If there are any questions that anyone has or specific requests while I am there during that time I will definitely chime in and post it. Figured I get this up and running as the time nears!
