GuysAs you know, Harrison Ford wore a Speedy Pro in the movie, Six Days, Seven Nights. Given that he was stuck on an island, what watch you perhaps have given him to wear instead? harrisonfordweb
I recently had some gift cards at Amazon, and ended up purchasing the AVI-8 Flyboy. I got the Miyota 8215 automatic version, and with an attractive tan colored dial. The lug size is 22mm, and I immediately changed out the NATO strap for a custom leather 2 pc strap from bststrap I'd won via a very generous giveaway contest. I'm very happy with the watch so far, and like the easily readable dial, the lume, overall size and appearance. Here's a couple of pics. If anyone else has an AVI-8 watch, feel free to post them here. Eric
Im buying my first AP, and I want the offshore with the black dial. Can someone tell me the difference between these 3 models? What will be the smartest choice? Thanks!
Hi all, can anyone let me know their experience with service intervals for their AP. I understand when you purchase new, you can send the watch in for a pressure test after 2 years and then you receive an extension. My question is specifically for after that. Can you get a solid 5 years between servicing or are these best serviced every 3 years. Thinking of a 15400 but would like to know the answer to this one. Thanks everyone.
I was staying at the Bellgaio in Vegas and won some money so went into Tesorini (Rolex AD inside Bellagio) looking for a Ceramic sub, or rhodium dial datejust. They had jus sold a ceramic sub yesterday so that was out of the picture. I was considering the datejust...but eventually passed on it. As I was walking out, my sales lady says ¡°you won¡¯t believe what we just got¡±. She goes to the back and comes back with a Sea-Dweller....I was shocked. Bought it right away. Had it shipped home to save on taxes. She told me the day before (12/21), they had received a surprise shipment of two subs, two Daytona¡¯s, and two BLNR¡¯s. Vegas stores must get allocated a lot of these hot watches due to their high sales volume? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
