Rado R 22828155 wrist watches news:
Among all of the so-called ¡®free¡¯ escapements, the detent escapement, which appeared during the 18th century, is considered one of the Grails of chronometric precision. Historically, the role of the detent escapement in the search for chronometry is more important even than that played by the tourbillon. Yet, we find it mostly in marine chronometers, where it is mounted on gimbals since one of its major weak points, or more precisely its primary weak point, is its great sensitivity to shocks. This is undoubtedly one of the reasons why this historical escapement had been confined to marine chronometers until now.And now, a new version of the detent escapement has been designed specifically for a wristwatch: the Chronometer UJS08, by Urban J¨¹rgensen & S?hner.Exceptional chronometry to make smaller¡In comparison to the traditional Swiss lever escapement, the detent escapement has a few notable differences, which allow it to have the best mechanical performance of all the free escapeme
Hi,I'm currently looking to get myself a watch (have been watchless for the last 15 years). Been looking around the internet for watches alot lately and came upon this forum. I was thinking about a secondhand goldwatch in the pricerange of € 5-10k that doesn't lose it's value that fast.Been searching alot on Chrono24 and found this lovely piece:Any experiences with this watch (not really vintage though)? Or does anyone have other suggestions in the same style and pricerange?Cheers

Ok. I did due diligence, (actually, I have only been searching the threads for about 10 minutes, but got impatient ). I want to put a 5 ring Zulu on my DSSD, and wanted to know the best width to order. I don't have calipers, but it is looking like 22 or 24 mm. Any of you know offhand what the proper width would be? THANKS!
So my Girlfriend and i are planning to take a trip to NYC on the 9th.She wants to take me to see the Tree (i have never gone before) and this trip times up perfectly with my time to buy my Sub.We plan on going to the diamond dist. before the tree and looking at a few stores.I have been waiting for a years to do this and to be honest i'm pretty nervous because i don't want to come home empty handed.I kinda feel like after hitting all the big stores at WTC and 5th ave if i cant find my Sub i might just say screw it and pick out something else.what do you think my chances are of finding a sub nodate in the city this close to Christmas?
