Rado R13596152 wrist watches news:
Parmigiani has announced the opening of its nearly $20 million state-of-the-art Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier facility near its headquarters in Fleurier. The new facility provides about 75,000 square feet for Parmigiani’s movement production, finishing and assembly. Parmigiani manufactures all its components within its own facilities. The new Vaucher workshop also provides a wide range of components and services to many of the most recognized names in haute horlogerie. Founded in 1996 by Michel Parmigiani, master watchmaker, designer, and restoration expert, with the support of the Sandoz Family Foundation, Parmigiani Fleurier SA is a recognized leader in the production of top-tier components for luxury timepieces, and they are among the few Swiss watchmaking houses that insists on finishing each watch completely by hand.
so you begrudgingly take it out of it's hiding place every few months or so, put it on, wear it for a day or a week and then realize you actually really do still love it? Then, after you have you've worn it for the "allotted time", you put it back on it's winder or hidden location and wear your favorite ones for a long time. Eventually, you have the same feelings of guilt again that you're not wearing it much anymore and do it all over again?I do:) Whenever I think of selling my YM, when I think that I really only need 1 watch, I put it back on, wear it for a while, and fall back in love all over again. The much maligned by some, but loved by others, YM. It may not be a true tool watch, but it sure looks great. I had an Explorer II in the past and liked it. Then I traded to a SS Submariner with date which I have now and love.I am a larger guy. 6'5 and 245+. I would like to get a larger watch. I have been looking at Panerai. But I ran across the specs on the Deepsea and that may work. I wouldnt want to keep my sub and have the Deepsea since they look so similar.I know this is an opinion question, but do you think it would be worth spending the difference between what I could sell my sub for and the sales price of a Deepsea?Thank you all for the opinions.
Some of you may recall my getting a deal on an Underwood three space winder some time back. When I got it, it didn't come with a power supply, and the batteries didn't seem to be doing the trick.Well, I finally broke down and bought the proper power supply for it. Hopefully, soon, I won't be setting my autos every time I want to wear them!Anywho, this represents my only watch-related purchase (so far) this year, so I thought I'd share...
After I posted a question on the general Rolex forum about trading my DSSD D-Blue for a Diver, after many comments and deliberations, I decided to keep the DSSD AND buy a brand spanking new Diver (15710ST) from an AD.All I can say is that after one week with the Diver, I don't want to wear any other watch in my collection ! I am smitten with the Diver! Now, back to the title of this post... As much as I love the rubber strap that comes with it, I had always loved the trademark AP hornback straps, and particularly the one from the Safari. After seeing the new Safari last week at the Las Vegas boutique, I was set on ordering the strap. BUT, my only concern was that it would require a tang buckle. I am not a big fan of tang buckles on expensive straps, as they wear out the leather after a few months of use, while a deployant would not add any wear at all. (I have had PAM's with deployants whose straps would look like new after a year of use.).So, I was pleasantly surprised
