Raymond Weil 1500-ST2-70381 wrist watches news:
Looking forward to checking the mail soon for a green dialed Seko Alpinist(amongst other goodies!!!) !!!...have always admired the unique quality of the watch, and finally pulled the trigger on it....just had a nagging feelling that because it has been in the Seiko catalog for so long, that it might be discontinued soonCan't remember where I saw it, but it seems to be that this watch was an effort by Seiko to bring to market a less costly version of the Rolex Explorer model...Anyway, Seiya-san a pleasure to deal with....
I thought I was doing so well. I thought with my purchase last month of an EL Eldiamante I had broke the bank for a while and would be able to settle down. NOT!Foghorn, a great and wonderful WIS, Moderator, and man of these forums had to put that last temptation before me with a picture of a new Hamilton he broke down and purchased. It just happened to be one of the designs by Hamilton that was beckoning to me, over and over again!Foghorn, you are an enabler!I need help, I know that. But before I looked for that help I did it again!Excuse the stock photo but I will be putting my own up before the end of the week. Worse yet, my winder is full and I purchased the auto!

I am curious to see if any of you experienced watch collectors have information on the Val-Swiss automatic movements. While I'm sure they aren't Top Of The Line, I would be interested because of the price point. Swiss Legend has started using this movement in their Neptune line, started selling last night at $169.00 with a watch winder included. I would love to get some automatic movements in my collection and this would be a good way to start, I'm hoping to work my way up to the 7750's of the world. Looking online I get comments from that other forum (you know, the one that every other word in the postings is a cuss word and any watch under $25,000.00 is a piece of ST). Any info would be appreciated.
I don't post a lot. The main reason was that I sold the Panerai 270 I had a couple years ago. I debated long and hard whether to get a 40mm or a 44mm. I followed the majority of the advice I read and got a 44mm 270. It is a terrific watch and I got an amazing deal on it. Over time however, I decided it just wasn't for me and traded it in on something else. I had two principle reasons. One was the size of the watch and the hassles associated with getting it to fit under a shirt sleeve. The second had to do with the bands. I prefer bracelets especially when I travel. I try to exercise daily. Having a bracelet means I don't have to leave my watch back in the room and/or lock it in the safe. It is also nice to have the watch with me when I exercise since I am often running on a tight schedule. There were things I really liked about my 270. I did get used to the size and liked it even though it felt top heavy on my wrist. From a functional standpoint I found the GMT to be the most useful fo
