Seiko Spring Drive on Winder?
Hi,There are folks that insist that winders are verboten for Spring Drive watches, even to the extent of quoting an email from YSERV advising against keeping a Spring Drive watch on a winder.I understand that keeping a watch running increases the wear, compared to letting it sit and running it once a month or so. I can afford to have my fine watches overhauled every few years, so I don't much care about that.But for a watch that is worn at least every week, I have a lot of trouble believing that keeping it on a winder is any more damaging than wearing it. And with a watch this accurate (+7 seconds/month for the SD Chrono; unknown for the brand new GS SD GMT, but certainly no worse), I'd rather not be resetting it twice a week.Can anyone think of a serious reason why I should put these fine watches on a winder (I have Orbita winders)?Thanks.

Two wonderful vintage Breitlings
My friend kindly leant me his two wonderful vintage Breitlings for me to feature here, and to find out a little history of the two models for him. They are a Navitimer, model number 806, and a Sprint, model number 2212.Included below are the images I have taken thus far and the information I have been to find on each model. If anybody knows of any further information then please let me know.From the serial numbers (134#### and 135####) I have worked out that these two watches are both from my year of birth, 1970. Both cases are in great shape for their age and are keeping relatively good time. However, the dials on both watches have remained untouched and are both suffering, to different degrees, with moisture damage. Personally I like the fact that they have remained untouched. It is surprising that the Navitimer dial has remained untouched because the chronograph seconds hand is not the original.Although they were sold in the same year they were designed and released in different dec

New Watches
Awhile back I posted a poll regarding what watch I would purchase next, but I had a ‘slight’ change of plans…..I bought two new watches instead, the first begins with J and ends with aeger lecoultre hometime, and the other begins with b and ends with lancpain flyback.
