Omega DeVille
HII'm new to this forum and watch collecting, so PLEASE bear with me! I just purchased an Omega DeVille dress watch in which the bracelet and watch body are all one piece. The entire watch is gold-toned, except for the back, which appears to be stainless. Inside the back case it states a 20 micron gold plating, but on the bracelet clasp there's a hallmark (lozenge with what appears to a tall "T" with a letter on either side. Just below this is a stamping which appears to read "55%". I carefully tested the bracelet and watch body in several places, and it tested 10k or higher. Could this be, or am I just not getting through the plating? Also any info. on this watch would be greatly appreciated!-Inside case is numbered 111.0139. Works have the number 42 over 050818 and the omega symbol. Also the number 625 and Omega Swiss 17 jewels unadjusted. I know pictures would help a great deal, but I haven't figured that part out yet! Hi everyone, On my previous thread I asked for opinions on a trade (RO for Diver). Clearly opinions were divided across and many provided some sound reasons to stay put. Well I'm sure most of you can relate, once it's 'in your head' it's hard to let it go. I wearing it as I type this and I certainly feel it'll get a lot more wrist time than the RO. It definitely has a lot more presence and the AP rubber strap it's awesome! Thanks,

Question about Speedy Alaska Project
Hey all.First time posting in the Omega forum, and I was hoping to get some opinions from owners of the Alaska Project Speedmaster.A local AD has one in stock, and unfortunately I didn't have time to look at it. I haven't been in this shop in years, and was just passing through to see if they had a Speedmaster Pro in stock, which they do. I'm hoping to get back sometime this week and get a look at their selection.Anywho, as an everyday watch, on the bracelet, how is the AP watch? I do a lot of driving, and if it's the middle of July, and the sun is bearing down on me, when I take a quick glance of the watch, would I see the time easily, or just get a glare off the white dial? I remember reading a comment back in 2009 on the other popular forum that all it would be good for is to sit and look pretty, and the white dial would make it useless as an everyday watch. Does anyone have real life daily experience with the watch to belie that statement?Any opinions would be appreciated.

Omega Aqua Terra Quartz
So, recently I was at my local Omega AD. Very lovely people I might add. I tried on a few ATs and strangely the one I fell in love with was the Quartz grey teak dial. The solid build and the solid caseback really won me over. They offered a nice discount to boot. Having always, or mostly, been a mechanical guy; I'm wondering if this is a good move. Any Quartz AT owners care to weigh in? I'm itchy to get one now but I wouldn't mind hearing the opinions of some folks who have one.Thanks!
