Seiko SNK371 wrist watches news:
Hi there! I was wondering if anyone can advise on the following watch:Omega case ref.2767 movement cal.354 (bumper) year 1954...The watch is listed on ebay: eBay.sg: 1954 RARE VINTAGE OMEGA SEAMASTER AUTOMATIC GENTS WATCH (item 250666593927 end time Jul 25, 2010 02:23:43 SGT)The price is US $499Considering the dial of the watch has been restored I was wondering if the price would be too high...I don't have much knowledge (I only own another Omega vintage watch) and I'd appreciate a more 'expert' point of view...Please reply promptly as the 'auction' is ending in a couple of hours! Thanks in advanceJack
Dear Rolex experts,I know that Rolex somehow over-engineers its watches, but I wonder though if I can find some practical examples (real live situations) in which only Rolex can survive.I am specifically interested in 2 aspects in particular:1. The stainless steel used by Rolex better than the rest. I have not seen yet any watch (not Rolex) made of normal steel corroded due to sea water (or any other agent) exposure, not even after several years of intense use.2. Anti-magnetic feature of the milliaus.Again, I have not seen any watch affected by magnetic fields, not even in computer rooms full of servers, mobile phones and any kind of magnets around.I am a big fan of Rolex but I believe that Rolex is addressing non-existing problems as there are not real situations in which a steel watch is either corroded or got crazy due to magnetic fields.Could you share your experiences in these fields?
The mail man delivered this yesterday and it looked better than I expected in the flesh, and very comfy on the wrist. I just love the Cream colored dial and the blue hands. It sure gets from me. Happy Sunday.
I just picked up an AP ROO 42mm Panda on a bracelet about a week ago. After searching and asking question of how comfortable a ROO bracelet will feel on a small wrist man (6.50)Here are my findings...... I Love it. And it Feels great. Before everyone goes and buys a bracelet for there 42mm ROO. Please read. When i first got the watch i decided to size it myself. After finally get the right screw driver. A little smaller than a 1.4mm as the 1.4mm still didn't fit even though thats what most people said they used to size the bracelet.I noticed that i had to take every extra link out. Meaning if you have a wrist smaller than 6.50 this bracelet won't fit. It won't get any smaller. So I'm pretty lucky i just made it in terms of fit. Another thing is because of how the bracelet is designed if you take the bracelet all the way down to no extra links one side is actually one link longer. So the center deployment clasp does not sit center on the back of the wrist. This is probably what bothers
image.jpgIf it weren't for the fact that I am about to purchase a 50th sub, this would def be the Omega on my list. With the vintage look, blue dial, red hands, and brown strap, it is one of the best looking watches, IMO.
