Loss of mortar&brick Seiko dealers
I've noticed over the past year or so that many retailers are dropping Seiko from their inventory. Findlay(who used to run Macy's and Dillards fine jewelery),Leroys,Helsbergs,Zales, and finally Kay jewelers just reduced their Seiko to 50% closeout recently. Sears and Penneys still have a small selection of lower end Seikos, but for how long? Let me qualify this; I can only speak about malls and stores in and near Lexington and Louisville Ky. Does anyone know whats going on with Seiko and retailers?

Watch collection dwindling down
A lot of you know I have tons of watches. Thats not true. The ones I post and show off and stuff get sold working a week for more than what I paid and then I get another one (I'm talking vintage of coarse) my watch collection now consists of an omega seamaster and a Stowa. And soon to be a vintage (80s) timex quartz chrono. I flip watches like crazy (except gifts of coarse) and I have taken an interest and I now have an appreciation for older quartz watches (mostly chrono) because of the interesting technology and because they weren't as cheaply made. I still prefer my mechanicals tho. Me selling off the watches that are cheaper and less interesting let's me spend more time with the ones that really matter and for me to care for them better. And also helps me save for service. Just bored and wanted to share my plans :D

Rolex Booklets/Manuals.
I wonder if anyone out there can help me understand the reference numbers given to the booklets/manuals that are issued by Rolex. I have just purchased a superb Datejust 16030 1988 and it came with everything except the Rolex booklet/manual and I am trying to workout which Datejust booklet(I.e 593.02 Eng -100-1.1988..?.) it should of had so I can possibly look to purchase a pre-used one....any help would be appreciated even if it is to understand what the numbers in the reference stand for. Hello.. For the first time ever I wore my SubC to a conference at work today. Colleagues immediately noticed my watch. I received plenty of compliments on my watch.
