Richard Mille has long been known for using unusual and often unprecedented materials in its timepieces, many drawn from the worlds of automobiles and aeronautics. No Name Swiss?
I was in a watch repair shop today looking at the vintage display case and noticed a watch with no name.The owner told me it was Swiss Made in the 1930s when watches were often sold with no brand name on the dial."What's important is what's inside"...I was assured.Is this correct? Why would quality Swiss manufacturers, proud of their brand, turn out an anonymous product???

I recently acquired a Gallet 30 minute timer/stopwatch at an estate sale that works perfectly. I am seeking any information/insight on this model as I have been unable to pin down the vintage of this stopwatch or its retail market. There is plenty of general and company info on the web but I have found nothing on the specific movement/model I have. I have found one model that is very close but not identical to mine. The Gallet I found was a decimal artillery timer/stopwatch marked Jules Racine & Co. Swiss 7seven jewels unadjusted on spare parts compartment(JXR on balance) No3364 D.R.P.388992 +No100230 on bridge. The information dates it to WWII era. Mine is marked Jules Racine & Co. Swiss 6six jewels 1one adjustment on spare parts compartment (no JXR on balance) No3364 D.R.P.388992 +No100230 on bridge. The dial is (near mint) porcelain enamel, hands are blued (looks to be steel), crystal has a small convex dimple in the center. Is this an earlier vintage or a lower grade varian

Authenticate Rolex in Hong Kong
Hi allI¡¯m a new member and have been trying to get a steel GMT Master II in many countries around the world with no luck. Will be in Hong Kong in March so this seems like the best place. I¡¯ve been able to find quite a few on Chrono24 from what appear reputable dealers but am concerned about authenticity considering these models are so popular and hard to find.Can anyone advise the best way to authenticate a Rolex purchased from a dealer and not an authorised Rolex store?Is it possible to make an appointment at the Rolex Service Centre in HK for them to open it up and confirm?
