Seiko SNE161 wrist watches news:
It has become common at BaselWorld (and all trade shows for that matter) for brands to gift small items to journalists and retailers after meeting with them. We aren't talking much here – I would say the industry standard is a box of Swiss chocolates. Sometimes we might receive a pen, notepad, or other essentially perishable items that will be lost likely before we even hit the airport to return home. Occasionally, you get something great. This year, NOMOS hit the spot. 1 OF 1 Yup, that's a flask. And not only is it a flask, but it is a full flask. Loaded up with some top-tier Jamaican rum, NOMOS is skipping over the standard fare and giving us journalists exactly what we want, nay, need to survive over a week of 18 hour days and close to 100 appointments. The flask is small and sutble, and will absolutely become part of this week's conversation. It is, for the record, six times thicker, however, than the new NOMOS thin self-winding movement, which we wi

A friend of mine more or less gave me a Raymond Weil Parisfal W1 quartz, same as below but with a blue dial:It was not working so I figured it was just the battery. Opened the case, saw some corrosion from the old battery, and tried replacing it anyways. It still didn't work. I noticed that the movement looked very basic and simple.I took it to a jeweler who quoted me $95 with labor to replace the movement. I have not been able to identify what the movement is so I don't know if this is a good price or not. It looked simple enough that I could do it myself. But to me it's not worth it to do myself if my price to buy the movement is close to the jeweler's all-in price. What is Watch Talk's take?
Does anyone here have their Omega red card stamped Value Time in the AD box?It is without address and tel no so I wonder who this Value Time is.Thanks.
My small, modest collection consists of a Speedy Pro, Tag Heur Monaco, Eterna Kontiki, and the BLNR. At this point, I don¡¯t want to flip any as they are each special to me in their own way. I¡¯d like to add another Rolex at some point soon. I really like the SD43 and the Hulk. The white Daytona C looks amazing, but this is not a realistic option for me from and AD and the premium is too steep. I don¡¯t wear suits to work. A nice shirt/polo and slacks usually suffice. I don¡¯t think I need a dress watch at this point and when I do, the Monaco usually works pretty well for me. Right now, I¡¯d say it¡¯s between the sd43 and hulk, but I¡¯m definitely open to other suggestions. Thanks so much! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
