Seiko SGEF58 wrist watches news:
I have a Citizen Blue Angel watch that is not working correctly. The hour hand will not set/move and stays at the 12 o'clock position no matter what. All other functions seem to work. Any idea what is wrong?
I sent this Rodney dial to ID to have some markers replaced but they ended up refinishing it instead. At first I was I was unsure about how the pearled track would turn out. It did need some slight touch ups from the first after photo I saw and they fixed it up nicely before shipping it out. Be your own judge but I think they have the pearled track refinishing figured out correctly. I think it's safe to say now that Rodney dials can be refinished and that this one looks great. As for this watch, this was sent to me as a parts watch by a forum friend. Along with the refinished dial, it's now running with a 735 movement with parts taken from two other parts movements and a nice strap to complete the project. My focus for the photos isn't very good but look at the second marker dots in the foreground in this photo. In this photo, notice the large hour dots at 12, 1 and 2 o'clock.Although it's hard to get all of them in focus and some look inverted, all the dots are actually inlaid round
Ok Gang,As promised, I will open up the vault andgive you a look at perhaps one of the most incredible collections of The Illinois Watch Company'swork you will ever see. I say this because I have examples that took years to find, barter for, and acquire, from all over the globe...Some that are fairly common, to a group of "Super Rare!"that I promise, you won't see anywhere else.I don't have them ALL, but that is what collecting isall about!**All watches I post are from my collection, unless noted and rightfully sourced***I have waited a long time for one place to show a group of American Watch enthusiasts this stuff, and if any of you out there have some examples, don't be shy...We would LOVE to see them!As with many of the Great American watch companies, lots of history was lostThere is no exact science to collecting these old treasures and new examples and facts are being discovered every day. Please feel free to ask questions and bring new "finds" to my attention. First of all, a quick

Just popped in to see when my new 114060 might get here and they have a 116710 LN in stock as well as an Explorer II (White dial) in the window. With the steel sports shortage going on, hope this helps someone if you've been searching for either model!
