Omega and the consumer - Part 2 of the Co-Axial discussion
It's a hypothetical question I know since the belief and expectation is that Omega will eventually phase out the 2500 in favour of the cal 8500 and its' derivatives. The targeted changeover as many of you know is in 2010.During the time when both movements remain in production which surely cannot be that long a period, the first and obvious advantage from a consumer's point of view would be that the entry point into the world of the Co-Axial movement will have been maintained at a reasonable level. Is this entirely desirable from a consumer's point of view? I suppose the answer in part to that question is what Omega's customers wish of the brand. My First Panerai - Happy Incoming!
So I start a thread not too long ago asking for opinions on the 292 vs. 505. I have been completely enamored and infatuated with both of these watches for about a year.Here is the thread...Anyhow, with a huge thank you to RUpanerai (Brian Lau), I end up getting a brand new PAM292. I could not be happier with it, and on a side note could not have been happier with the care and attention I received from Brian in purchasing the watch. I will post something in the feedback section about him ASAP.This watch has exceed my expectations in every regard. It wears well, looks amazing, keeps excellent time (roughly +1 SPD over the past week or so), and has a power reserve every bit advertised. I've put aside the OEM black strap for now and have been happily wearing it with a brown asso strap which is slightly fulfilling my fix for the 505. Hey guys I have an incoming 448 however it's the summer and its a hot humid mess so I was wondering the go to summer straps of Radiomir owners the luminors were always an easy fix as the OEM rubber straps are great. would love to see some pics of what you got
