Hello, can you guys tell me what the difference is between a Omega Seamaster 2254.50 vs. 2264.50? Is one better than the other or more desirable? Thanks,Chris
It is not often one receives a gift from the person that is leaving, but a few days ago, Al Dodson who had been a lecturer at the National Watch and Clock School was returning to his home - Kentucky. Al had become a great friend to me here at the museum, apart from teaching me some watch repair, we used to chat daily on Horology and his knowledge combined with my enthusiasm took us along so many different paths of horology. Its about 1 week since Al left, and I miss him here a lot - he left me 'Dennis' to keep me company. Dennis! Dennis Who? Not 'Dennis the menace? No 'Dennis' the Hamilton. A lovely 64 year old friend. Here you go a yellow gold filled 1948 Hamilton 'Dennis'Now The Movement - 980 - 17 Jewel. S/no. Does anyone know what watch was worn by Robert Downey Jr. in Iron Man? You could catch glimpses of it while he was working in his garage on his suit. I was thinking it was the new Tag; but, could not say for sure.
I bought a superocean last year and sent it of to the main breitling service centre in the UK for a total overhaul with a new crystal etc,the bill for this work was approx. ¡ê540 which I did not object to as their estimate was within the final invoice,it was returned last august and I have had to reset the time on a number of occasions,i set the time 21 days ago and it is now approx. 3 minutes slow to my pc which I set it from, this is approx. 1 minute a week ,is this a acceptable tolerance on a timepiece such as this?? when I bought this watch I was certainly expecting better timekeeping from it! cheers for any thoughts.
Hi there,I'm a newbite and hoping those with experience can help me verify what is and is not a valid Datejust combination.I am looking for a Datejust, 31mm, Steel and White Gold, Fluted, Roman, with a SILVER DIAL.I've been presented this configuration as an option at an AD and have seen it for sale online, but I can't build it as a configuration on rolex; I only see a RHODIUM dial as an option. Can anybody clarify why I'm seeing this discrepancy?Thank you!
