Seiko SRN052 wrist watches news:
In 1963, the Heuer watch company (today’s TAG Heuer) released the first Carrera, a chronograph inspired by auto racing, which went on to become an international icon. As TAG Heuer celebrates the Carrera’s 50th anniversary this year, WatchTime sits down for a candid interview with the man who created the Carrera, watch-industry living legend Jack Heuer. WT:???? This year marks the 50th anniversary of the TAG Heuer Carrera, the sports watch that you conceived 50 years ago. Did you think back then that it would become as iconic as it is today?JH:????? In all fairness, no, but when I entered the watch industry, one couldn’t foresee many of the fundamental changes that have happened to it in the years since. I would have never imagined, for example, that watches with Swiss-made movements would move into such a small niche ¡ª only about three percent of the world market in units, in a market of 1.5 billion watches a year. This was unimaginable in my early years.WT:???? Since
I'm thinking of tracking down a recent version 41mm Railmaster.Would like to hear what you guys think of it. Thanks!
Right now, I've got several winders:This Orbita is in my bedroom:The Rotolution is in my home office:This one from Eilux sometimes does travel duty - my father and brother in law also have this model as their primary winder:How about you?
i realize that i am one of the few who loves this model. and i can't quite describe exactly it's one of my favorites, but it is. i wish i had the photography skills to capture how lovely the patina is on this dial. the new crystal helps though.
Hello all! Sorry if someone has already caught this and posted about it......Last night I took my son to see the new Liam Neeson movie, Non-Stop. Overall, it was a pretty decent movie and worth watching - if you enjoy those types of action flicks. Nevertheless, in one scene the pilot of the plane needed to check his watch for the time. As he turned his wrist, you could clearly see that it was a complicated Patek Philippe of some sort. Unfortunately it was only visible for about a second, but it was exciting to see a PP up on the big screen! And boy did it look good! This got me wondering if Patek is loosening up the purse strings a bit and paying for product placement opportunities more than they used to? Regardless, the sighting turned the movie from good to great in my book!
