Seiko SRP489 wrist watches news:
At Baselworld 2013, two iconic sport watches ¡ª the Rolex Daytona and TAG Heuer Carrera ¡ª celebrated their 50th birthdays with new models, while another historic watch brand, one with “50” in its name, celebrated its 60th. Blancpain’s influential Fifty Fathoms divers’ watch, now an entire collection, went back to the basics of its 1953 creation with the release of the vintage-inspired Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe. The first Fifty Fathoms watch ¡ª named for the British measurement corresponding to approximately 91 meters, believed at the time to be the maximum depth to which a diver could descend ¡ª was the brainchild of former Blancpain CEO Jean-Jacques Fiechter, who took the reins of the long-established Swiss brand in 1950. Fiechter, an avid diver, was determined to develop a functional instrument that he could use while pursuing his hobby, and in 1953, his efforts bore fruit. The Blancpain Fifty Fathoms made history with a number of innovations, several of them pate
OK, last night on my new favorite TV show, The Good Guys, a very blinged out watch was featured. Anyone see this? Well, you should, because it is a very funny, cool, retro cop show on Faux (Fox).I tried to Google it, but could not find it. It was a gold-toned chronograph - not Rolex - that had red, white and blue round diamonds on the bezel. Not baguettes. My wife loved the watch and said, "Now that is a watch you can get me."Any ideas? I've got to find this watch.

Was selling my 5170G and had a buyer for it and was about to wrap the watch for shipping. Before the last farewell I chose to set the time to the buyer's local time. Suddenly I started to hear some rattling inside the movement, I turned the watch over and saw a piece of metal going all over the place. It appears that one screw had got loose and popped out or cut in half. What is funny (well, not really) is that I took the first picture last Saturday and kept the watch in safe until yesterday when I just took a glimpse of it and it was still running perfectly without issues. Then put it back in the safe and today it's as in the second picture. Some might think I dropped the watch or did something humiliating to it, but sure I did not.I don't know if it's a torque issue with screw or faulty piece of threaded steel or whatever, but anyways this one is going back for service, luckily still under the warranty.
So the delivery day for my watch was either yesterday or today. It didn't arrive yesterday so i knew it would arrive today. I waited for a few hours then saw a card by the door which read sorry we missed you, you can arrange to pick up your parcel or call for another delivery day. The delivery man didn't press the bell and just knocked on the door which i didn't hear. Well i wasn't going to let my new watch sit in a depot till Monday. I called and the receptionist said my parcel would be back in the depot for back up by 17:30. I went to get the parcel. This is my first Panerai and it is lovely. I am a Rolex fan boy and i always will be. DJII is next but this one adds a nice bit of variety to the collection and can have some fun with some straps. Here are the pics. Purchased this from Kroon Watches, in Holland. Thanks Marco. He was helpful and polite all the way through and i would highly recommend the uk buyers who want a trusted seller to look his way.
