Cartier WT100002 wrist watches news:
During the week of SIHH, Zenith took over a palatial suite at the Grand Hotel Kempinski in Geneva, where we were shown an addition to the brand's iconic El Primero lineup. The new model features a lacquer dial, in either black or white (both equally attractive options, if I may say so myself). The fact that this model commands only a few hundred dollars more than its non-lacquered counterpart makes it a worthwhile choice for anyone with a penchant for in-house movements, refined sporty design, and modern watches with respectable lineage. 1 OF 6 First, let's take a quick look at some technical aspects. Inside the 42 mm (x 12.75 mm) stainless-steel case is Zenith's in-house El Primero 400 B, a self-winding movement that features 50 hours of power reserve. The movement measures 30 mm in diameter and contains a column-wheel chronograph mechanism as well as a date function (visible through an aperture between 4 and 5 o'clock). 2 OF 6 Caliber El Pr
I keep coming back to this watch:(Pic by Kieron; watchuseek).(Pic by Kieron; watchuseek).(Pic from uhrenhandel.de).(Pic from uret.se).(Source on pic).I have read a comment online about the Omega Speedmaster Moonphase : "It is puking up class". What I like about this specific "Speedy" are the relatively uncluttered dial despite its complications, the domed and cambered sapphire crystal (AR coated on the inside only which is a big plus, imho), the acrylic tachymetre bezel (reminds me of the one since on the Daytona ref. 6263) and the size (42mm). The watch uses the Omega Cal. 1866 which is in fact a Lemania manually wound Cal. 1874.I think this could be a nice watch for me since I have never owned a manually wound watch before, it is within my reach and I really like the appearance of this Omega model. However, Omega only "guarantees" an accuracy of about + 10 - 15 seconds a day for their manually wound watches. So question is: in this specific case, should beauty be more important than
The German/UK transmitters are strong enough for reception in Stockholm.Makes this a great reference watch.
Hi,I recently signed up for a online repair course and the course covers the disassembly of an ETA 2801-2. The movement I have is an ES95. I was wondering if anyone here has an old 2801 that is serviceable you could donate or I could purchase for cheap? My ultimate goal is to learn a few basics, see if I like it and then enroll in a proper horology school. I have a paypal account and I would cover shipping charges and the other costs. Mike
I was browsing ebay and happen to come across a PO advertised as a 007 edition but has a white dial? It looks beautiful however sounds fishy? Also the 12 and 6 marker looks crooked? Can anyone confirm this?cgi.ebay/160588971281?ru=...#ht_2372wt_922
