Time for the update - are you still on target to acquire the watches you want to get this year?My Most Wanted list looked like this going into January:- IWC ribbon lug caliber 89.- Longines Grand Prize caliber 352. - Zenith El Primero caliber 3019. - JLC Geomatic caliber 881 or an early Reverso.- Omega Seamaster caliber 353 reference 2627 with a white waffle dial.then come the targets of opportunity:- an Omega '56 Seamaster Melbourne XVI Olympic Commemorative- a UG microrotor of some sort (Polerouter?)- a VC reference 6073, 6099, or 6426- a Longines caliber 22L and 30Land the ultimate grail for a Longines collector: a late 50's/early 60's Conquest Power Reserve caliber 294 in white gold. Took care of the #1 Most Wanted right off the bat (thanks Adam!). #2 is sort of handled - it's inside a ss case and I'd still want a 14K version. #5 and the '56 Melbourne XVI got put on hold due to incredible luck at finding a Seamaster pie pan (incoming soon) - a watch that isn't even feasible to li
hey i have a question about this watch i might buy off someone he claims its a Swiss Movement but it has Swiss Movt on the face also claims that there is 41 diamonds on it and that it goes for retail around $1000. He says he is willing to sell to me for $400.Is there anyway to check if this is legit or if I am being screwed?here is a link to a picture of the watchwinnipegheights/forum...chmentid=36549
Hooked up my 15202ST 0944ST to a timegrapher...Is it safe to say that I can hold off on servicing for a bit longer? It's an F series and 10 years old, never been serviced.Note : I borrowed the timegrapher from a friend. Anyone have the Frederique Constant Analytics? I was thinking about picking one of those up to measure and track the accuracy of my watches.https://frederiqueconstant/analytics/(I have no affiliation of FC - just curious if it's worth the money)
Well guys this is the second time that I make a question about this strange star like form hallmark in my Seamaster, thanks to JJ & Delldeaton who kindly reply to my post & PM. Anyways, for me is a very interesting mark. Ive been guessing that maybe if this is the only one with this mark its make a one of the kind watch, I dont think that this is a non factory hallmark because is to centralize and it looks the same size and deep as the serial # on the watch. I wonder if you guys could check your watches, just to see if they have something similar. I also send some e-mails to Omega but they dont answer, I imagine how much e-mails they receive daily asking stupid questions. Anyone of you know what can I do to investigate about this?? who and where to call?? I honestly dont know where to start. I just keep wondering, do I have an obsession with this mark, or I have a point here???The serial # of my watch is 60174674, I think could be from 1998 or earlier. Just in case if someone h
