- I couldn't pass up the price on this one. It's got a beautiful face, clean looking, although the subdials are a little , they couldn't be any larger. I bought this one for a dress watch, it's a real dazzler.

TAG Heuer CAP2110.BA0833 wrist watches news:
So I go in to the big T today just for a bit of browsing. In the window they have an early 2000 preowned white dialed SS Daytona. I have to ask. How much is that Daytona in the window. The very pleasant saleslady opens the case and reads the price to me: Its 16,000.00. I said I'm sorry it sounded like you said 16,000.00. The smile slowly ran away from her face and she said, I did. Now I don't normally play with sales peoples emotions but I am interested in a Daytona so I ask, how flexible are you with this price. She calls the manager and he starts in with how rare it is yadda yadda yadda. I'll take 15K I smiled and said you do realize its 2009 not 2004, that ship has sailed buddy. He wasn't as amused as I was. So I walk across the hall to an actual AD and speak to that saleslady. Oh we don't have any now but we have been getting them pretty often, she says. The last one sat in the case for a month so we don't have a list anymore. They have one now and I'm the only one
My GMTc has run about a minute slow since I bought it last February. I didn't want to have a new watch adjusted, so I gave the movement a few months to break-in and/or selttle-down. I work in Manhattan, so I finally took it to the Rolex building on 5th and 53rd for an adjustment. They took the watch and said I was correct, it was a little slow and they adjusted it. Whoever performed the job is either very good or very lucky, this watch is to the second since the adjustment over 3 weeks ago. He turned those adjusting wheel-nuts just right. Like I said, either VERY good or VERY lucky to hit it right on first attempt. I was really impressed.Bob
Wow, Tuesday already.....watch ya wearin' today?
I have always wanted one of these "Square waffle" Constellation Guilloches, but they are hard to come by, (even more then the diamond pattern guilloche) and I have always been a day late.I saw this one, a 354 bumper and said, Hey, I bet I can save that First step clean dial. NOT easy: microscope, make-up applicator pads (like q-tips but foam not cotton), wood toothpicks, dishes for baths, paper towels, secret chemicals . Did I mention time?, lots of time. You get the picture, WIS torture. On top of this I had to come up with a case. This one is a 2782, right case for the movement/dial. I had to refurbish the case too. Someone had tried to gold plate it and then "satin-ize" it. I had to re-clean and polish it to the original stainless appearanceAll and all I a pretty happy with the results. It looks even better in real life, as the camera brings out any little imperfections. Is it new old stock? Heck no, but I think it looks pretty good and I saved another one from the scrapers.
I am crazy about my Omegas! I have only had these three for a couple of months now, but they get a lot of wrist time. Cheers, Bill P.CSC_0648 Seamaster black.jpgCSC_0657 Speedmaster.jpgCSC_0506 Big blue.jpg
