TAG Heuer WAP2011 wrist watches news:
Went to Hearst Castle, in San Simeon CA, yesterday.Thought I'd get a shot of the Seamster Pro "on location". Not the best shot I've ever taken, but here 'tis:
This may have already been covered at some point but, if so, I am going to ask again. Why would a jeweler have housed a Hamilton movement in a third party, non-model specific case? I could maybe see if it were a Tiffany or high end case with jewel faceting or something. I could also see if an original case became damaged and the owner wanted to re-house the movement in a new case. But, I recently purchased a Hamilton movement in a generic 10YGF case, basically for the movement, as the auction went low. (The case has turned out to be in phenomenal, lightly worn shape.) The dial is stamped Hamilton Movement, but, it just seems like a great length to go when a jeweler could sell the complete branded piece with the accompanying advertising and prestige that would have accompanied it.Tell me what part of the story I am missing. And NOT to any of our current mates. Had to use eBay. Oh well. The important thing is it finally sold and I've been paid.
Guys/Gals,I'm a little puzzled....my husband just got an Aqua Terra Chronograph this past Thursday. When I set it for him that evening I gave it a full wind (since I'm most familiar with Rolex I completed 40 turns of the crown). He wore it all day on Friday (about 10hrs) and let it rest on our bathroom counter overnight. It was fine on Saturday and he wore it again for about 9-10hrs. The watch stopped just before 5am on Sunday morning... I thought this was strange. Anyway, I reset it and even put it on my winder for a couple of hours....it was fine and he wore it for most of Sunday. Again, he left it on the bathroom counter overnight....Today he put the watch on around 11am and it stopped at 2:35pm.I really don't have any experience with Omega as this is the first but I'm concerned. Could the reserve be so short? Could something be wrong with the watch?I should mention that we picked it up at Macy's for over 60% off as they were having a HUGE clearance event. Don't have a box or warrant
