Technomarine 110057 wrist watches news:
I have the opportunity to change the thin hands on my K series SS Daytona (black) to the so-called fat hands that started to appear on Daytonas during the F series, as I recall. The RSC suggested this when I noted the luminova on the thin hands is difficult to see. I would retain the original thin hands so if I were to eventually sell (unlikely) the watch to a purist, the original configuration would be available. Part of me believes this is not a good thing to do (I usually oppose modifying the basic watch from the original), but I already have trouble reading dials when I'm wearing my contacts, so the fat hands seem like a good idea. I know it's my watch and I can do what I want, etc., but I was just wondering if anyone has an opinion on this, or has done it.Opinions?
Just wanted to briefly say "Hi" to the forum and thank moderator "Scott D" here for a fair deal and a great transaction on a Sea Dweller. Since I'm not the photographer Scott is, I'll refer the "this thread is worthless without pics" folks to the original sale thread: .info/foru...ad.php?t=31877P.S. I've spent the past couple days cruising through the archives here, and let me just say what a refreshing change this is from certain other forums. Thanks,Bob
So Boscoe's thread on quartz got me thinking. What is it about the auto's I love so much. Yes, there's a bunch of small reasons. But when I look at them on the wrist the glaring reason is I love the clean sweeping motion my auto's second hands give me. I don't like the 'click, click' of the quartz second hand.So here's my question. If someone made a quartz watch that was identical to it's auto version in every way AND had a sweeping second hand - would you buy it if it was priced the same as a 'regular ticking quartz'? Given an auto is usually much more expensive than a quartz, would it still be worth it if it was externally indistinguishable?Vote & tell us why!
Hi everybody,I've found this in my pile of stuff that never gets looked at. the dial reads Levinson but there are no identifying marks on the movement. I haven't removed the dial to check the face of the movement though. I've photographed it next to a Hamilton Scott for size comparison. Can anybody help?cheers and thanks in advance,Sean
I am.
