As I took this watch out of the box my wife expressed that ¡°It looks like something Action Man (GI Joe in the US) would wear.¡± I suppose that, in it¡¯s own right, justifies the name of this watch.At first glance the watch looks a bit like a toy, as it has a resin body, although on careful inspection there is an internal body that looks to be an alloy, the bezel is a PVD coated steel and the watch glass is sapphire, so the build should be pretty robust. The protestants were re-instated as subjects of the crown and awarded the same civic rights the catholic subjects had enjoyed un-interruptedly. Most clock makers were protestants and had fled France to Switzerland, Germany, Great Britain and the Netherlands some years earlier. A great many of them decided to go home to their native country again. It is how France became the number one time keeping device country again.It was the revocation of the Edict of Nantes by one of Henry IV's successor, the famous Louis XIV in 1685 which lead to a new exodus of the protestant clock makers to Switzerland. Question about the Royal Oak 15300
Hello,Is it possible to change a white dial at service to black or blue. If so do you know the aprox. cost for dial change incl. dial.What dial colour did the first series of the 15300 initially come with???The reason that I¡äm asking is that the white dial, which I do think looks great, usually is the cheapest to get on a Royal Oak 15300 on the second hand market.The problem is that I have a White dial Daytona that I would like to keep like that...if you know what I mean.Thanks and have a good day.//Fred

Omega planet ocean 45.5 bezel insert replacement?
Has anyone recently replaced the bezel insert on their PO? I have a first generation 45.5 orange bezel and its seen its fair share of bumps and scratches. Just curious to find out the cost of just the bezel insert and where I can find a genuine Omega replacement... not the aftermarket ones being sold on eBay. Thanks forum!

Bezel problem with new complete service
New member, first post. Older Submariner 5513 bought new in 1989 at Kirk Freeport, Grand Cayman. I sent the watch to them by a friend for a complete service a few months ago and picked it up recently. The bezel was tight but I thought it would free up. It has instead gotten much tighter. I popped the bezel off last night and was surprised to find that there is no spring washer. Is there a new design for retaining the bezel? Any ideas on what course of action I may take to loosen the bezel.
