Tag Heuer SAR8A80.FT6045 wrist watches news:
I use my Dremmel to keep the inside links scratch free.I use polishing compound with the buffing wheel to get the scratches out and then wash the watch to get the goo off. Then use a new buffer wheel to shine the watch up.Works good for me. Recommend a $34 Drummel, has so many uses in the home.D
Last year I enlisted a little help from a fellow member & Omega collector to help me search for one of my grails. I was not having much luck finding a solid gold Seamaster from the late 50's or early 60's. The reason was I didn't want another of the normal 55x (no date) or 56x (date at 3) calibers you see so many of. Not that they're bad - on the contrary, they are some of the best Omega ever made - but I have a 561 gold capped pie pan from 1961 so I wanted something out of the ordinary. It's no secret I've owned more than a handful of Omegas from this period (hey Scott & Angel: how are they behaving?) so it's not like I didn't know what I was doing. I looked into vintage watch sellers as well and found a few that were decent, and one manual wind caliber 285 from 1961 that would have been on my wrist if not for the price....but more on that later. It turned out that I had 2 choices at the same time; one from Europe and one here in the US and both were 18K. I monitored th

Well, probably not in scarface but I just like how it sounds...I want to thank Carl (Feeling the Blues) for his support and PMs regarding my obsession with watches. I cant thank you enough my friend. With out further delay. A piece I thought I would never buy, but it won me over in every aspect. I had to give in. Hope you guys enjoy the pics.
I’m having a tough time deciding between the Sub, SubC, and the new Sea Dweller. I read some previous threads and am more confused than ever. A bit about me:-I never look at the date complication on my watch, I don’t even set the date on watches that have it -I do a ton of research and contemplating beforehand, and then never sell any of my watches-I have 6 3/4” wrists-I own an Explorer 1-Comfortable with the price difference between all 3 watchesWhat I see as the positives and negatives of eachND Sub:P-Cleanest dialP-Under the RadarN-Have an Explorer 1 and worry that if I added a bezel and replaced the numbers I’d have a sub. This is the least differentiated from the Explorer. Sub Date:P-Has a bit more differentiation from my Explorer due to the cyclopsP-Bit more wrist presence/visually more interesting by comparison to the ND Sub but still understatedN-I don’t even set the date/look at the date on any of my watchesSeadweller 43:P-Wrist presence- I like t
