Technomarine 115004 wrist watches news:
To celebrate their collaboration, Alpina and Cessna recently held an event at Cessna Aircraft¡¯s headquarters in Wichita, Kansas. Selected VIP customers attended a presentation and viewed over 30 airplanes in different stages of production. Following the presentation, several Cessna planes were inspected in the main showroom, including a brand new Cessna Citation Mustang. Alpina joined forces with Cessna Aircraft and PrivatAir to support the introduction of Alpina’s Startimer Pilot collection. Featured at the event was the Alpina Startimer Automatic with in-house developed and produced automatic caliber AL-710 with minute and hour indication and off-center date hand, combining historic pilot watch design features with a modern layout.“We both rely on precision, hand-crafted products to please our customers,” said Alpina Managing Director Peter Stas. “Since Cessna and Alpina are essentially talking to the same people, cooperating through events like this benefit b
The regulator clock gained traction in late seventeenth century watchmaking, before the time of radio-controlled master clocks. Their main purpose was to provide a central point of reference for clock and watch makers in a workshop. With separate dials for hours, minutes, and seconds, the clocks provided an easy way to get a precise read on the time when setting other devices. Regulator wristwatches, however elegant and interesting, can sometimes suffer from illegibility due to small dials and difficult layouts. However, with the Hamilton Jazzmaster Regulator, a traditional vertical layout is swapped for a more asymmetric design, resulting in an unexpectedly modern take on this old relic, and it's available for a reasonable price. 2 OF 7 The large dial, required for the dial layout, contributes to greater visual heft relative to a moderately sized 42mm case. 3 OF 7 The first thing you’ll notice about the Hamilton Jazzmaster Regulator is its size. I have a Longines mans watch that I received as a present in 1981. It has a black dial Roman Numerals in GoldThe watch is gold plated and is of octagonal shape (4 long edges 4 short)It has the date at 3 o'clock."Longines" on the dial with winged logo under 12the word "Quartz" above the 6Stainless Steel backBlack leather band, with gold clasp with longines logo It was "lost" in storage for many years, and rediscovered a couple of years ago. Since then I have tried about 3 or 4 jewellers / watch repairers around Australia to no avail. They have cleaned / serviced the watch and replaced the battery, the result, the watch seems to work OK for a couple of days, then the second hand stops, and the watch doesn't keep time. The last two jewellers refunded my money, saying there was nothing they could do.Anyone know of a professional Longines repairer in Australia who can help. The serial number on the back is 19395640thanksSteve
Hi, just acquired a secondhand Rado Multifunction Diastar, cal 193. Very nice watch and all seems to be working well but can't make any sense out of the manual. The digital display seems to be very feint? Doesn't seem to be anyway of making it brighter that I can see. The ones I've seen in the store have quite a vibrant digital display. Does anyoine have one of these who can help? Many thanks, Craig
Hi guys,Would you trade the 5127R plus cash for 5130R? I know one is a complication the other is not, my question is mainly about aesthetics. The case of both watches is different, although 5127 is 2 mm smaller. Thanks for your input!
