When you get yourself a modern Omega, It comes with some nice accessories. A warranty card, A Chronometer card if a Chronometer, and a Pictogram card. There is a lot of good information on the Pictogram card..Here are a couple from a Seamaster and a Speedmaster:Across the top on the Speedy card it shows:1. Sapphire Crystal2. Anti-reflective coating inside only (a AA in a circle would indicate coating inside and out)3. Manual wind4. Waterproof to 50 meters5. Tachymeter equipped. On the Seamaster Card:1. Self winding2. Sapphire crystal3. Screw-in Crown4. Anti-reflective coating, inside only5. Waterproof to 300 meters6. Helium release Valve7. COSC Certified.and that last little pictogram by the Omega is the type of box. A #3 box for the SMP and (unshown) a SP (special limited edition) box for the SpeedyLearn as much as you can about the time-piece you strap on..
Does anyone here own, or knows someone, who owns a Patek Philippe minute repeater Tourbillon? This may sound like a weird question...But does it feel like a $700K magical, supernatural watch on your wrist?
Good Morning Enthusiasts,I am new to the Patek Philippe forum and have enjoyed the short time I've had privilege to read and absorb your knowledge. I am going to purchase my first time piece, presumably this weekend in NYC, and would appreciate a bit of guidance as pertaining to appropriate Manhattan pricing. If you would care to assist me in what would be acceptable prices for the following hour glasses on a wrist it would be appreciated.5396 rose gold5205 yellow gold5146 yellow gold5146 rose gold5496 rose gold5159 rose goldBest Wishes and Thank YouJR, MDP.S. Some day this wrist will fill the hole in a 5204 rose gold.
Hi All! Due to changing out from another hobby and some very enthusiastic friends, I've been lurking for the last 2 months to get into watches. Tried to start conservative with a max budget of $500, then $800, then $1000, then $1500 -- the more I read, the worse it got! After trying on several Seikos at a local department store to get a feel for size and style, and I realized I would be unhappy going through starter watches and having to upgrade. Thanks all for the great forum and load of information. Already considering my 2nd watch need and looking forward to when I'm ready to pull the trigger on a Rolex! In case a newcomer like me can help anyone, that's a Corsair MM300 extended mouse pad (36 wide x 12 tall) in the pic. I've been using that product for quite a while and can already tell it will serve perfectly to help desk diving scratches.
