Tissot T056.420.27.031.00 wrist watches news:
Has anyone seen the new Seiko Stargate? Neither did I... I actually doubt there is one yet but if there was one I wish it would look as good or better then the old discontinued one.Personally I took at shot at it and did what I thought could be a possiblity, or at least one possible look. Of course I am no watch maker or producer and I don't make my own watches or parts. So I had to use something readily available. There are lots of aftermarket parts of course and some of them are really nice and well made. In choosing parts I personally like some writing on the dial, I mean I prefer the non sterile looks with maybe the brand name on it or writing like "automatic" or similar. So recently I have used original Seiko parts for some projects and I liked them.First one has to mock up the possible looks and then search and find the parts to execute that particular look. I did that and found some dial and hands that I liked from another Seiko watch model. I then contacted Rob at m

I'm a big Daytona fan. I wear mine more than all my other watches, combined. But still there are two small, presumably easy and inexpensive things that could be done to it to make it better.1. Anti-reflective coating on the underside of the crystal. Why hide the beautiful dial in glare? Topside AR smudges too much, so I'd prefer only underside. It's frankly embarrassing for a five-figure watch not to have AR coating these days. Especially when the dial is glossy; sometimes the dial or hands will reflect off the underside of the crystal, onto the glossy dial, back onto the underside of the crystal, back onto the dial...it's like a funhouse mirror effect. 2. Re-do the ticks between the minute markers. There are 5 ticks per minute marker. But the Daytona ticks 8x/second. Let's have four ticks per minute marker, so the chrono second hand, you know, can actually be read to its 1/8 second capability. This is really just an academic exercise, because Rolex does what Rolex wants. But these two
