*3-16* need answer ASAP, so thanks in advance!re: Invicta 9312Readily available, I have 2 questions:a) is this a shiny yellow-y gold, or a more orange-y gold? (like the 8900-series). Not rose gold, but trying to ensure this is YELLOW-y gold, *NOT* orange-y yellow gold.I'm hoping it is yellow-y gold.b) what is *real* size of the case ? (Seen several different listings.Appreciate anyone who can answer this for me.Scarlettscarletbama@charter
Hello.Purchased some watch repair tools. Included is an HR made USA mechanical dust blower. I thought it may have a bellows or a diaphragm in it. It wasn't producing much air through the needle. It is the kind made of metal and inside it has a rubber disc. Looks like a dried apricot. It is made to fit tight enough to create enough resistance and back pressure to force most of the air through the slender metal nozzle which has a small hole to put speedy air through it. The rubber disc is not stiff cracked or overly shrunk. Is there a way to plump it up a little. I can see it must not fit too tight or it would not fit the cylinder. Any suggestions?I took it apart and flattened it a bit with my fingers around the edge. That seemed to get it going better. I suspect it sat for yrs and dried and shrunk a little.I was thinking of putting grease on it to both lube the walls plus block air a bit. ThanksJames
G'day Just hougth I would show you guy a couple of photos of the Sea-Gull Automatic Chronograph. ST-1940.Yes I have one and it is fabulous. What I am going to do with it I will tell you all mid 2010.But I know they are not widely see. So there you have it. No specifications from Sea-Gull yet.. they are still translating for me me. Dealign with Sea-Gull is difficult. Sometiems they answer and sometimes they don't. You just have to be lucky.Dan
I have a vintage Westclox Pocket Ben (Luminous) that is running too slow. At its' fastest setting, it is loosing about 10 minutes in a day. If some sort of repair can be done somewhat easily, I would like to try before replacing the watch. This watch has no jewels, and it may just be breakdown over time on the other hand, it probably hasn't been oiled in 60 years. Can a lightweight oil, such as that for a sewing machine or electric razor work for a watch? (I did this once with a very cheap $6 watch that I had, it did not prevent it from working.)The watch had very very little ware when I got it, I do not think it was ever really used until I bought it a few months ago. It has always run slow, I just guesstimate the time with it. Any ideas are appreciated. Scream and let me know if I am about to break something Thanks, yall
So are these bad boys even possible to obtain? If so, what's the ball-park damage?Dang, it's a helluva sexy watch!!!
