As all vintage watch collectors should know, that the records for Gruen Watch Company were destroyed back in the50's So most of the information, available today as been pieced together by a die hard Gruen collectors.I have always thought, that Gruen Precision watches were made in the Precision factory in Biel, and Gruen Guild watches were made by outside contractors.which up to this point was generally excepted by GruenitesSo It came as a surprise when I discover this.Taken from a posting by me, from another Forum Site. Planet Ocean GMT 2013 bought! HELL YEAH!
I worked hard and long for the Omega planet ocean Orange Crono but after many days of talks..and frankly the unavailability of the the color choice for my time frame I bought the limited edition or so i was told Planet Ocean GMT instead! I'm so happy with my purchase! here are some pics of this beautiful watch.next perchance is the blue rubber band with white stitching! love the look of that but at 400 bucks with the buckle it may be awhile.
