My AP Clearwater Service Review With Pics
I recently needed to send my SS AP ROO 44mm in for warranty work. I dealt with Lindsay at Clearwater from the beginning. Very nice and very professional. The problem I had with my watch was a tear in the rubber strap which has never happened to me before on any of my rubber strap ROOS.. Even more weird is it was happening on the very last hole and I don't wear my strap on that hole. So I contacted Clearwater and sent some pictures. They said they need to see the watch. I was told If it's not covered under warranty, then I will have to pay for a $100 shipping kit (which covers shipping round trip) and I would have to pay something like $400 for a new rubber strap if I decide to replace it at that point. Defect here:I explained to Lindsay I have had the watch for only 1 year, it does not have 1 scratch on it, literally brand new condition, being it doesn't find much time in my regular rotation... So I hope when they see the condition of the watch, they will do the right thing and cover u

ADVICE NEEDED PLEASE - Daytona and Royal Oak
Firstly, please know that I am not a habitual flipper....more of a keeper. I have a TT Sub, BLNR, Milgauss GV, 216570, and a WG DD President.I bought a new SS Daytona last Christmas which I am sorry to say I have simply not fallen in love with. It will definitely be leaving my collection.I have an offer of 8,250€ from a shop here in France, which I am prepared to accept.The shop has a 41mm AP Royal Oak SS 15400 that was new in May 2013, full set, virtually un-worn. His asking price is 10,600€.....so I'm guessing I could do the trade for my Daytona and around 2,000€. There is a pic of the actual watch below. I am a Rolex man, and am new to AP.I will value my fellow TRFers advice and opinions on this possible trade....I am going to the shop tomorrow.Thank you one and all.

Can someone translate the 4 Chinese characters in the photo below to English for me? How do you say it, and what do the words mean?Its the 'motto' on the Breitling Chronomat Limited Edition that I bought Monday. This limited issue commemorates the end of the deployment of the (British) Royal Air Force in Hong Kong in 1997.Close-up of the caseback:- The same crest and motto appears on the dial. And here are two more (non close-up) shots of the watch. Its my first Breitling, and am loving it ... Thanks!--------OOoops!
