A little while ago I got the opportunity to have some hands-on time with the venerable Maitres du Temps Chapter One watch. The experience was incredible, as a timepiece like this really stands out above and beyond most other super luxury watches. It is really all the little things when taken together that are awe inspiring. Let me give you an example that you'd never know about unless you handled the watch yourself. It is clear that the Chapter One watch has many pushers. Aside from the crown (with its built-in monopusher for the chronograph), there are four of them on the case. Stylistically, the pushers are large and beautiful in gold. And they are meant to adjust complications on the watch such as the calendar, GMT hands, and moon phase. My husband has always wanted the Hamilton Ventura.I'm hoping it's the Ventura with the Black face, with yellow gold and a brown band..I've been doing my research and am getting a little overwhelmed because I'm getting confused at some of the options and making sure of a watch's authenticity..Is the brown band hard to find because it's no longer produced and just black face/with black band is now? I talked with a jeweler because I found a 50th Anniversary I really liked, but she told me it wasn't authentic because they didn't have one with a diamond on the 50 mark, and it should say electric near the 6..but thru research i think she was just thinking of the silver and black version, not the yellow and black/brown band version...Anyone have time to help me sort out options, that'd be awesome...This is my first time to this site...I can check back here or you can email me @ mcross312@yahoo, or if anyone is interested in selling one they have, I'd be open to options,Thanks

PP deployant vs pin buckle
Deployant or pin buckle, which do you prefer and why? I'm about to pick up a new watch (pictures next week) and it's platinum with a pin buckle and I'm considering converting to a deployant. Due to cost concerns Tracy the strap lady at H. Stern suggested white gold which makes sense, it's 2K cheaper. I've heard the deployant is more secure when taking the watch on and off and the pin buckle is more secure in terms of the watch staying on the wrist and not falling off inadvertently. Is this correct? I've owned the 5205 with pin buckle and it seemed to pull the watch to one side of my wrist. I've tried on a 5960 with deployant and the fit was perfect, the shape of my wrist seems to be ok with the deployant and from what I've read that is sometimes a problem. Thanks in advance for your answers.
