Finally, the first limited edition Horological Machine Number 4 from MB&F is here. My First Panerai Watch: The PAM 312 (3 Days Luminor)
I went to Hamburg this week to trade my DSSD for this gorgeous PAM 312..Since the DSSD don't fetch too good prices when they're resold, imho it was a fair even tradeI even got an extra OEM brown croc strap on top of the deal..My good friend, Marcus, went to the AD (Wempe) with me to inspect the PAM 312 that I chose plus another 312 that the AD had ordered from another Wempe branch for me to compare with..I want to thank Mr Peter Schweer of Wempe Hamburg for his GREAT service! Bomb Proof Spring Bars Needed
Today for the third time in about 5 months I hade a spring bar spring outthankfully the watch caught on my sweater and did not drop. I have 20mm width bands and 20mm spring bars and wonder if someone makes spring bars that are a little more bomb proof than the typical spring bar sold with watches, watchbands, etc. If such things exist, where can I, and others, find these a little more bomb proof spring bars? Would a 21mm springbar (if such exist) be betterthe logic being there is 1mm more "insurance".Thanks.

How does your AP sleep at night...?
I never liked to sleep with a watch on my wrist. Mostly for fear of banging it on the headboard, the bedside table, etc. And quite frankly, without my glasses I wouldn't be able to clearly read the time at night with the lume.Normally I would just leave the watch I was wearing that day on my nightstand, and depending on the watch, sometimes on top of a microfiber cleaning cloth.But for some reason I felt that I wanted something a little more, let's say special, for my AP. So, now I just put it on the nice AP travel case every night. Sounds silly, but it makes it feel a little more special to take it out of the case every morning and strap it to my wrist.And of course, it also serves a real purpose, as it will protect the watch from accidentally being scratched against the wood, or sliding off by accident.So, what do you do with yours at night?
