Tudor 79220R wrist watches news:
There are always two sides to a story. When we published John Mayer's open letter to IWC, we knew the response would be huge – the overwhelming majority of readers agreed with his sentiments about what he has perceived to be a drastic change in direction for the legendary Swiss watchmaker. Well, the folks in Schaffhausen have heard his thoughts (and your comments) loud and clear, and today, we present their response in full. Dear Mr. Mayer, As you can imagine, we read your open letter to IWC on HODINKEE with considerable interest. We couldn't help but feel we owed you a reply and before saying anything else, we must thank you not only for your long support of our brand but also for the obvious passion for our work that is reflected in your letter. For some reason we kept thinking of the title to a song of yours called, "I Don't Trust Myself With Loving You," as it sounds as if that's how you feel about IWC. As we’re sure you know, the
I've accidentally turned the crown in the reverse direction used for setting slightly on occasion and note that this stops the second hand or moves it backwards a few seconds. Is this a feature of the movement or am I potentially doing some internal damage? On an unrelated note, what sort of accuracy should I be getting from this movement? I've been wearing it daily and it seems to vary between 1 and 3 minute loss daily depending on how I place it for overnight (on its side, crown up, appears to result in the most lost time). I realize that this is an unadjusted movement so perhaps this loss is okay for a 60 year old movement (it has been cleaned and oil not too long ago).
I am looking at a Muhle Glashutte Quadrant, Ref.No: M1-30-33-LB, 30 Jewels Automatik. It is claimed to be previously owned but never worn, to be in excellent condition, and originally purchased in 2012. I have found that the manufacturer's original list price to be US$3199 dollars. I have reviewed how to determine the value of used watches at a reliable internet source which said:1. Determine Retail List Price2. Determine commonly applied discounts to this watch brand, and apply them.3. Subtract 30% for watches in excellent condition, and 50%, or more, for those showing signs of wear.By that formula I have come up with the following:1. $31992. 25% X $3199 = $23993. 30% X $2399 = $1679Thus, US$1679 being a fair market value for a previously owned Glashutte Quadrant, as described above, in excellent condition. However, I do not know for sure if all of this is an accurate value for the described watch. Therefore, my question that I am posting to the forum is: What should I safely pay for th
Looking for info or comments on the sieko 5 snzf49k1. Is this a cheaper version of the OM ? I cant find much about it. Should I stick with my search for the OM or consider this? Are the links hollow? (deal breaker!)
