Back from a long time break
I realized I have been away for a very long time. Yikes. So I guess I should say a howdyor a re-howdy. Changed my avatar to Mt. Boston (snow mound made after receiving 90 inches of snow in 29 days and no longer out yanking chains. Now drooling over a Tudor Heritage Black Bay...my grail watch.

So, first off, let me apologize. I apparently do not have the gift of watch photography like many of our members here do. This is why I always appreciate the beautiful photographs that people take here. But at any rate, I figured I'd have to take some pictures of the new addition to my collection (thanks Greg!). It's my first Breitling, and I really had no intentions of buying one. But once I received it, I totally fell in love with it. I don't have pics of the packaging up, but I personally found that the packaging is a huge improvement over what you get from Rolex, and the watch is far less expensive. This watch retails less than what my Rolex did 5 years ago. The other thing that I love about this watch is the way it has a clean dial, and looks very much like the Rolex Sub and Blancpain Fifty Fathoms. It's 46mm, but definitely doesn't feel overly large. It's not new, it's not old, it's something in between
It's a Watchco SM300! Actually not Watchco proper, because I built it myself. I had a 565 calibre in a completely buggered Geneve; the movement was good, but the case and dial were beyond repair. So a quick order of parts and a trip to my watchmaker later, I have a shiny new SM300. Sure it is a franken, but I love it. It's gotten a lot of attention at work too (I work in the watch industry).

Manual wind speedies....comments?
As of late, i have been infatuated with the original moon watch but the problem is that they are all manual winds, not autos. Anyone own this timepiece and found it to be a pain to be winding your watch every morning? Also, are there mechanisms to protect you from over winding the watch? Any comments will be welcomed.Thanks.
