The Type XXI watch was inspired by the Type XX chronograph designed by Breguet for the A¨¦ronavale fran?aise (the French naval air arm) during the 1950s. Hamilton Meteor, need case back
I'm an avid collector of Hamilton asymmetric Richard Arbib designed vintage watches form the late 50's and 60's. I have a Meteor model that is mint except for the gold filled back it has a wear line that is drastic. Does anyone know where I could purchase a replacement gold filled Metoer case back, or are gold filled cases/watch backs able to be filled and brought back to restored?Currently I have 60+ Hamilton asymmetric original wristwatches, most have been restored by Rene Rondeau in CA. Finding a replacement case back for this Meteor model has been a challenge.Any input, please let me know. Thanks Tim

Anyone in here have an Audemars of Vacheron?
Well within 5 years or so I plan to get me a Vacheron or a Audemars. I love these watches and well from what I know and the research I've done on my trips to Switzerland Audemars and Vacheron are the top watches in the world long with Patek which I am not too crazy about. I am looking at either a Vacheron Overseas model (perpetual calendar) or the Audemars Royal Oak (perpetual calendar) If anyone does have a Vacheron or an Audemars feel free to post pics for me (us) would love to see them.EDIT Audemars OR Vacheron

To trade or not to trade
Hey Guys- My current collection:1) Daytona SS bezel White Dial2) Sub LVC3) 5712RI have been tempted to flip my 5712R (strap) to a blue dial 5980 on bracelet...I bought the 5712R as a nice change up from the Daytona and Sub LVC...but now thinking I might want to trade to a 5980 blue dial on bracelet. The look of the rose gold is awesome, but the feel of the 5980 is amazing!I typically wear business casual cloths...Nice button down and jeans type...Thoughts? Should I do it?
