Hi, I am new to appreciating watches, but I have a question. I have a Timex windup watch with a plastic case that I would like to open but it seems the plastic case is sealed shut. Is this the case or does it require a special tool to open. Also, are there manuals from Timex available or do I just have to stick with the general knowledge that I receive from books? BTW the I want to learn to repair my watch, because it will sort of wind, when I do wind it the knob turns backwards but gives the spring a little bit of tension the watch will run for about 15 minutes on a windup. So I figure it would be better to learn to work on and tear up an old watch rather than buying a new watch and tearing that one up. Any help is appreciated.Regards.
It's the Sea Ranger for me today.
