U-Boat 6251 wrist watches news:
So I read about every other post on 2 Rolex forums on a daily basis and have seen thousands of pics of DD's over the last few years. I'm approaching 48 years young and have finally got the urge to get a DD. I don't really have the money to get one right now, but I want one. I checked the "bay" tonight and there's only a few WG DD's for sale. The ones in my price range, under $10k are mid 60's models. I guess I'm not going to get a newish WG DD in even the $12k range, so it'll probably be an older model in the end...I have no dress watch when I do dress up, which honestly is pretty rare, so I just wear my YM or Daytona. I'd probably have to sell my YM to get the DD plus a large wad of cash. Not sure about this move, but it won't happen anytime soon, so I have plenty of time to try on watches and see what I like. I'd certainly like to get a watch without much or any "stretch" in the bracelet, so getting an almost new one might be worth saving for.Sodo you non DJ and non DD folks
My mom picked this up for me from London, while she was on her Euro trip. I wasn't expecting much, when she told me that she was picking up a Lorus, but to be honest, it looks pretty decent on the wrist and in the end, its the thought that counts. She's not into watches at all. She still thinks its a waste to spend anything more than $50 on a watch (though she conveniently forgot about it, when she picked up a Longines for herself, while she was on vacation, a few years back )Here's a pic from the website. Ill post a wrist shot when I get back home from work.
;)Navy blue dial and bezel:
It's not always so nice and clean like the rest of the watch.
Maybe I missed it or just don't know how to look it up.Any updates on the guts of the watches?32xx movements in anything new? Thanks in advance.
