U-Boat 1840 wrist watches news:
As we reported in October, Switzerland¡¯s Competition Commission (Comco) has announced a decision to allow the Swatch Group, Switzerland’s dominant producer of mechanical watch movements, to gradually halt sales of those movements to companies outside the group in 2020. Here is a timeline of 10 key moments in the ongoing legal soap opera between Swatch Group and Comco.August 2002: ETA SA, the Swatch Group¡¯s movement-making subsidiary, announces that it will stop supplying kits of loose movement components for mechanical watches, called ¨¦bauches, to third parties. It plans to reduce quantities gradually over three years and halt sales as of January 1, 2006. ETA says that the ¨¦bauches business represents less than two percent of Swatch Group total sales and ¡°the logistics are much too expensive and complex to maintain such supply.¡±October, 2002: Switzerland¡¯s Competition Commission (Comco) announces a preliminary investigation into whether ETA is abusing its dominant position in the
For the first time in its history, Blancpain is introducing a 45mm-diameter wristwatch in its Villeret collection. The new Villeret Grande D¨¦coration is a watch distinguished by vivid contrasts. The extremely pure design of its dial with its discreet enamelled chapter ring is counter-balanced by the incredibly refined decoration of its movement visible through the case-back of this outstanding exercise in style.Pared down to the extreme, the Villeret Grande D¨¦coration is the simplest possible expression of the watchmaking art. It is equipped with Calibre 15B, an ultra-thin hand-wound 117-part movement stemming from the pocket-watch in the same collection and indicating the hours and minutes. The domed grand feu enamelled dial covering it bears only 12 painted enamel hour-markers and two hands in the same material as the 45 mm case housing it. The Villeret Grande D¨¦coration also shines for reasons above and beyond its refined lines. A glance through the transparent case-back provides a
I'm very interested in this watch. 40mm seams to be the best size for my 6.5 wrist, but I do have a 42mm Pelagos and Speedy Pro. Anyone able to comment on size? Thanks...
Hi Everyone,I'm planning on my next watch in the next few weeks. I had the 2500 PO orange before and sold it to help with acquiring my DJII. I miss the orange bezel it really popped. I have a GMTIIc and a DJII TT slate. I love both the black and orange 8500 versions. I love the look of the orange more but worry about getting sick of it down the road or not looking as good in comparison to ceramic in the future. What about being able to acquire orange replacement bezels in the future, will it still be available?? Can I switch the orange to black if I paid omega to do it? What are people's thoughts on this? I know I should pick up a watch with my heart but I also want to make the best decision. I love the black with orange markers but only a tiny less than the orange version. Thank you everyone.
Nice watch, although the market did not appreciate it a lot.532 & Ted Su Strap ...532 & Hamilton Strap .......Regards,Hans
