- This thing is HUGE! Its more of a clock that you happen to wear on your wrist than a watch. Be prepared. That said it is magnificent, and a lot of watch for the money. Everyone will notice this one. Enjoy!

To celebrate its 80th anniversary, Louis Erard presents a new line, the Excellence, comprising seven steel models ¨C five for men, two for women ¨C that are also available in pink gold. The showpiece, the Power Reserve Regulator, pays tribute to the regulator, a symbol of precision in the field of chronometry. The round 40mm case houses a hand-wound ETA 7001 RE9 caliber with in-house power reserve regulator complication. The hours are shown by Roman numerals in an off-center counter at 12 o’clock, a small seconds at 6 o’clock, and a power reserve at 9. My models 0207 and 0208 arrived last night. Preliminary inspection indictates the movement in the 0207 has some backlash or play. The constant second hand must move 17-20 seconds before the minute hand engages. The 0208 movement does not do this. I'm not sure what this means, because I'm not at all familiar with this movement. This play or backlash is common in the Eta Valjoux 7750, especially in the basic date only models. However, it is not in the Eta 2894 auto/chrono models I own. Perhaps some of our members who are watch repair professionals can me whether this is significant or not. I'd appreciate it.
I have a manual wind watch that is hard to set the time accurately - after you set the time and push in the crown the minute hand has a tendancy to jump - any ideas??thanks pjh
Helllo everyone,Below is a watch that has been in my wifes family for many years. It is small, only 26mm wide. I believe it is 14k with 8 small diamonds. The face says Acre Breguet. The movement has what looks to be a leaf, no other markings visible on the movement. The case has hallmarks. One is a circle with a crown in the middle. The other is what looks like a star burst with a sword in the middle. Any ideas as to the age and worth?DSC01936.jpgDSC01939.jpgDSC01944.jpg
