Bulgari BB 33 SLD wrist watches news:
After reading about the various methods WIS' use to maintain their watch cases, bracelets, and cleaning rituals, I decided to compile a page that list many of these routines.I posted it over at minus4plus6/maintenance.htmI also used John Hollbrook's book to help me out with the images. His tips and tricks helped, but there is still room for improvement. Comments, suggestions, additions, and spell check's welcome.-Sheldon
After hearing many times How Hamilton's 770 caliber is considered their best wristwatch movement, as far as design, performance, easiness to work on etc. It got me thinking, what movement would be Elgin's best wristwatch movement or at least would be comparable to the 770? My guessas far as competition to the 770would be would be the free-sprung balance movements. They were quite advanced for their time, and they were approved for railroad use. anyone have any thoughts?
I made a thread a while ago about an Orient I had which was not displaying the day properly. Just yesterday I got the watch back from Orient, and was about to come back here to make sure I set it correctly, only now it seems the watch doesn't work at all. I gave it a few good shakes and all I that happens is the second hand wiggles back and forth a little bit. I would post a picture, but it would just look like any other watch.I didn't get my warranty booklet and instruction manual sent back either :(Sorry for the useless thread, I just had to rant a little. Looks like I'll be going watch-less for a while longer...
If you truly like the Panerai brand, and don't just follow trends like a sheep, now is the best time in the last 15 years to be a Panerai fan!The choices are amazing, the prices are reasonable, and the watches are actually obtainable.Up until recently, the average collector could not get the SE or hot watches without spending waaaay over retail. Now, the brand is making more pieces with historic ties and most can be had at a discount. For someone like me who has been following the brand for over 15 years...this is a great time. The history, look, and the DNA of the brand has not changed. I guess I'm just glad that some of the hype has passed....now I can buy some of the watches that I have wanted for many years because they are actually affordable again! That's all...just wanted to say that. Enjoy your day.Now I just need to wait for the vintage Rolex bubble to burst!
