Have any of you seen the Triumph watch collection? This particular watch has A Japanese automatic movement but I can't find any additional details. Does anyone have any experience with these?
My Seamaster GMT has stopped working (hour hand will not go past the 11 o'clock pm position) must be something to do with the date.An omega stockist has quoted ?450 for a service by Omega (swatch group).Does this sound right? Two and a half years ago I sent it off and it cost about ?280!
Hi everyone, I'm leaning strongly toward a dd40 with a Breguet 5817 coming in second (particularly with new silicon balance wheel and hairspring if I do a special order), buuuut, several people have suggested the 5711. I'm looking at pictures of the 5711 (3 year wait at the pp tiffany boutique in nyc, 1 year at wempe). It looks nice but two things are holding me back from more seriously considering the 5711.The first is the power reserve. 35 to 45hr is awesomely honest, but why the variance? Also, 35 isn't really enough time to put the watch down in the evening, wear another watch the next day, and pick it up again the next morning (isochronism and whatnot, I mean, even if it barely makes the 35 hours).I wanted to ask your thoughts about that, please. The second issue is the short service interval compared to Rolex. 3 to maybe 5 years versus 10. Even the Breguet should be more 5 years with the silicon parts. Yes, the 5711 has a silicon hairspring, but it's closer to 3 yrs, I've been tol
Hi All,My first post in this forum. I have been looking around for the next piece in my collection and have decided to go for my first Patek. I have decided on the AC 5146g and wanted to get everyone's advice on color, movement and deployant buckle. Firstly, my current collection includes a Vacheron Constantin Patrimony in white gold (ref. 81180/000G-9117), Rolex GMT Master II (ref. 16710), '68 Omega Speedmaster Professional (pre-moon transitional), Panerai PAM 328 (Luminor Marina 1950 3-day automatic). I will most likely sell the PAM as I have recently bought the Speedy and want to give it and the GMT II a little more wrist time. I also find that the PAM is really just too big and heavy on my wrist. So, I have a few questions regarding the 5146g. Firstly, color. I definitely want white gold but am trying to decide between the ivory and the slate grey. I have seen a lot of pictures online and have seen both watches in person. The wife likes the grey but in the dealer's shop, I
