Ulysse Nardin 266-66/625 wrist watches news:
I could use some professional opinions here. I dropped my Omega Planet Ocean off for ¡°routine¡± maintenance. It¡¯s 5 years old and had started to run a little slow. I ask for it to be oiled, and ¡°tuned up¡±. After 5 weeks, it came back. And they (Tourneau) had replaced the sapphire crystal. With one that was missing the non-reflective coating. Their was nothing wrong with the original, and I did not ask fro this to be done. I was clearly upset, but they gave no reason as to why it was done. Only offered to ¡°fit it¡± by putting a OEM crystal back in.My question is. Now that the original crystal has been removed. 2x.Is my watch still fully water resistant? Is it still considered factory original?or has it been ruined? I have about a ¡°2 week wait¡±, I¡¯d like to be in charge of the facts. Before I walk back into the store. Please.. I¡¯m not a confrontational person. But this has me really upset.
I have noticed that the Bond style GMT, 2535.80, is listed at $3650, while the new version, 2234.50, is about $1000 less. Why is that? Also, what is it about the GMT, in general, that makes it so much more than a regular automatic SMP? Is the movement that much more expensive, or is it just marketing? (or a little of both)Thank you.....
Can you recommend good place to buy IWC watch?where can you get good deal/best price?would you shop on line or is it to risky?thanks for your help
Omega got a mention on the front page of the WSJ today as a sponsor of Michael Phelps. Today he will stop in at Omega pavillion and on Wednesday will attend a formal event with Omega. The article is not more specific. Now Omega has a modern legend. Phelps is also sponsored by Visa and Hilton Hotels.
So I stumbled into a Tudor dealer today and tried on the 36MM BB. After trying it on, I am convinced that my next purchase will be a 36MM piece. It fit my wrist more proportionally than any of my other watches. That being said, I am not within close driving distance to a Rolex AD and cannot try on an OP to compare how it would fit. Does anyone own a steel face 116000 and would you consider it as a good all-rounder? Which watch would you choose? I need something to wear with a suit, shorts, t shirt, etc. Edit: By the way, my current budget is around $4500. My preference this time is to purchase a new watch (as all of my past purchases have been pre-owned). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
