So I know I've been all over the radar lately in regards to hunting down the next piece.I've been strongly considering Rolex Precious Metal, which most likely means flipping my YMII and possibly my LVC too (if i replace them with a PM Sub).Anyway, here's the thought process. Before I got my YMII I strongly considered and debate the DSSD as well as the AP Diver.I've definitely had my fears about taking the leap into AP. It's kind of like I've been vacationing in the same place for 20 years, and now I'm considering trying some place new. But the original place just feels like home. OK, blah blah, you get it.So here's where I'm at. I've been infatuated with the AP Diver for longer than the DSSD and the YMII. I love the look, the strap versatility, the feel and of course contextual history of the Audemars Piguet. I am frequently asked Will the Omega mesh fit my _____ inch/cm wrist? Will I need an extension?So here's the scoop on the Omega mesh:Total bracelet length is 15.0cm in the outermost micro adjustment.The innermost micro adjustment will reduce the length by 1.5cm. (There are five adjustment positions.)Each extension will add 2.0cm to the length.Needless to say, you will need to add the lug to lug length of your individual watch head. Which Panerai to pop the cherry on
I want my next watch to be a Panerai and I have been looking around. It seems like there are so many different Panerai out there.Two features that I've been really attracted to are the california dial or a white dial Panerai.I have a change to buy the PAM051, i like the white dial on it but the fact that its ETA movement seems to deter me away.I'm also attracted to PAM 242 or 249 but the 47mm seems super big on my wrist. I'm just curious, what was everyone's first Panerai? what did they like the most about it?
