Ulysse Nardin 273-68/421 wrist watches news:
Hello,I have owned numerous Hamiltons over the years and think they are a great watch. It makes me wonder why I used to spend >$1,000 for all those Omegas, Tudors, Breitlings, Oris etc when I get just as much enjoyment from <$500 Hamiltons. One pet peeve of mine, is on the Hamilton Jazzmaster Maestro. Why do they make these watches with a 23mm lug width and a 21mm deployant clasp? It makes it very difficult to replace the strap for something else and the 21mm deployant is almost useless if I decide to squeeze a 24mm aftermarket strap between the lugs as the strap end will be 22mm.They should have made the lugs 24mm or 22mm (like on my Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical with a case size of 44mm) as the 45mm Maestro could handle the 24mm lug width with ease.Any thoughts on this? I also have a Swiss Army Ambassador XL Handwind with 23mm lugs....so Hamilton is not the only company doing this type of thing.
My Oris 7533 and JL automatic have B3 on the movement. Does it stand for the grade of the movement?
Hello Everyone--After being a wall flower for several months I have finally taken the plunge into the community. I was hoping someone could post some wrist shots and possibly a side-by-side of a rolex date just and a Royal Oak 36mm. I have a 7 wrist and have been tempted by the 36mm royal oak for some time now because I've heard it wears big like a 38mm. Some photos and some testimony would really help me decide what size is right for me.Cheers,-Franco
Easy to do?Does an AP RO simply have screws in the last link / attached to the clasp?Wondering if you can simply use a screwdriver Vs. pushing out the pins ala Omega. If so, which screwdriver do folks recommend? If I get an AP in the not too distant future from TRF for example...the one AD in town says a sizing would take a few hours as I would have to leave the watch. He also asked several irrelevant questions which did not provide me with much confidence. Wondering if folks work on their own bracelets for the most part. Thanks
So I'm considering acquiring a 346. I've had my m ind set on a 351 because of the gold hands and titanium case. That said I could have the P2002/9 movement with seconds reset, PR on the back plus the titanium case and gold hands. However, I have many, many OEM straps that I'd want to use. I'm wondering if anyone can post pics of a 45mm Radiomir on 24mm straps vs. the 27mm straps. Also, never having tried a Radiomir on, how the the wire lugs hold up to daily wear in your opinion? Thanks and Merry Christmas!Everett
