Need Help Identifying Rolex (and its legitimacy)
A couple of months ago, I bought this watch at this event called the "nearly new sale" (a charity sale of clothing and other stuff for a local hospital). I think it was $10 when I bought it and had a tag on it that said "Rolex (?)". I would like to know what model number it is if it is real, and I don't know how to identify it on my own (and I'd prefer not to remove the back if at all possible). My mom, who I told should wear a nicer, automatic watch (she wears a $30 Fossil that she picked up at The Rack), tells me that she thinks it's a fake and it'd be impossible for me to pick up a Rolex that cheap.It's been sitting here for a while, but I finally got around to taking pictures of it and asking on the forums. I'm skeptical of it, but probably a bit optimistic too, as I had other ridiculous finds that day at the sale ($7 only-worn-once Ferragamo suede chukkas, $15 never-worn Brooks Brothers 2-piece suit, etc).Is there anyone who can help out, or at least point me in the right dire

Now gals and guysPlease hear me out on this The reason that the Omega Speedmaster Professional 3573.50 was not accepted by enthusiasts as being flight-qualified was because NASA had originally specified that it wanted hesalite as opposed to sapphire crystal on the Speedmaster. This was through a belief that should sapphire shatter, shards of glass would be distributed into the zero-gravity environment of the early Gemini and Apollo spacecrafts.However, the X-33 uses a sapphire crystal and it is flight-qualified. Under the circumstances shouldn't enthusiasts too accept that the 3573.50 should stand alongside the 3570.50 as being flight-qualified for manned space missions? I don't know if it would be accepted for EVAs ( extra vehicular activity ) since only the hesalite-fronted watch has been approved for that.But returning to my earlier proposition, I cannot see any reason why the 3573.50 should not be regarded by us here or indeed anyone as being as flight-qualified as the 3570.50 or t

On Matt Kuchar, sporting a RO Chronograph at the daily press interviews. I don't see him listed as an AP ambassador on their web page so I'll be interested to see what other time pieces he wears, if any. Obviously he has good taste, and it did look real good on him.

First Rolex - Submariner 114060
