- Great looking watch. The only thing I didn't like was the shiny center linkes. I had a jeweler brush them to match the side links, and the watch really looks sharp.

Vacheron Constantin 49150/b01a-9097 wrist watches news:
I am getting closer to my first Omega purchase and I think that I have narrowed it down to either the 2055.80 or the 2054.50. I like the 2055.80, but I am afraid that it will be too, I dunno, conspicuous? I like the classic look of the 2054.50, but I worry about the black bezel getting chipped or scratched. Any advice?PS: I am enjoying this forum immensely!
What is the best length of time (days) to track accuracy? A couple of days, 5 days, a week or more? As I understand it I should be looking for consistency along with actual accuracy, correct? I've been observing my 31 y/o Datejust for 4 days now at 10:30 AM each day, comparing to an atomic wall clock. Wearing it during the day and resting it at night flat on the caseback. I gave it a good handwind 24 hours prior to the Day 1 reading. Here's what I'm seeing in seconds lost. Day 1 = -11Day 2 = -9Day 3 = -16Day 4 = -13 Should I go more than 4 days? I'm really missing my other watches.
I've got an idea for the WTF watch.Picture the new 43mm Invicta Stainless Steel, Black Dial, Coin Edge Bezel Pro Diver on a Stainless Steel Bracelet, Sapphire crystal and sapphire see-thru back, SW200 movement. Now, picture a gold applied Logo of WTF on the dial replacing the twelve o'clock index. An engraving on the back. How does THAT sound??? Maybe Eyal Lalo and Jim Skelton can show it OTV to promote it and say that the leading watch forum asked for this to be made for their members.Sounds special. NOW THAT WOULD BE SPECIAL!!!!!And worth $300 to boot. Maybe Invicta would help lower the cost being we're so loyal to them and important word of mouth sales for them. It would be an honor to Invicta and to us to have something like that happen.
Even when stood up is bearable with my aquanaut.
Greetings TRF,I recently had the chance of looking at a few pictures of a rather special timepiece made by Patek Philippe and I was tempted to post a thread about it. What I like about this watch is that it has as many good things as it has special and funny aspects (in my humble opinion, that is) I'd like to point out in order to make people think about it in the hope that this will lead to a very interesting discussion. Without further introduction, allow me to review the Patek Philippe 5204p.The case: When I started to admire the case of the 5204p, I thought it would be interesting to compare it with the watch's older non in-house brother, the 5004.Here are two pictures (which aren't mine) of the said watches to help my description.50045204pThe first thing I noticed while looking at those two watches was the difference between the crowns and pushers. Although I personally prefer the 5004's popped out pushers I think the ones on the 5204p really enhance what I think this watch repres
